I'm looking for the latest Sybase SQL Anywhere Client for Version 16. After applying the patch 2471 on the server I see that the client and the ODBC-Client have the version 16.00.00.247. How can I deploy this version to all the clients in our environment, as the latest client version I can find is version 2193. Or is there a way to a apply a server patch to a client installation? If I try to apply EBF 2471 to a client installation, I have to enter a registration key, which is only necessary for a server. Please advise!

Thanks for any help. The standalone client install is not guaranteed to be current but is periodically refreshed.

It is perfectly acceptable to run a different version of client software than the server software even if that client is from a newer or older major version. As Koichi-san has already shared in his comment, you may want to consider your own client installer. The deployment of just ODBC requires just a few files - 6 files plus one or more language resource files. You can manually deploy or use an installer such as the Deployment Wizard utility included with SQL Anywhere. You can use an SP to update the client also, if that client was originally installed using a SQL Anywhere install - otherwise, the SP will likely view the install as new and would expect a license key.
